Before putting us into action, it is important to have chosen well the food we are going to prepare, always looking for the best quality and freshness. It is essential to have the right utensils and perfect barbecue grill: a good barbecue set will facilitate the task and impress our guests.
What meat is good for BBQ?
It is undoubtedly one of the star products. Being in direct contact with the grill and the smoke of wood or coal acquires an irresistible taste and smell. It is highly recommended to have different types of meat so that our barbecue does not become monotonous and enjoy the different tastes and textures.
My favourite one is American style, bacon, sausage, burgers, ribs, pork chops… We must not forget the prey and the secret, very tasty and juicy cuts due to its intramuscular fat, which makes them an exquisite snack and what better than special barbecue chorizo or a pintxo chistorra to surprise your guests.
The Lamb should not miss a good barbecue, both the ribs and the delicious chops will delight the most demanding palates. The safe bet!
The Beef and the Ox are delicious, nothing like a good grilled sirloin steak perfect with its juiciness and tenderness.
The chicken will give variety to our barbecue, drumsticks, wings or the whole chicken are very rich on the grill.
Fish and Seafood
Fish and seafood are a good alternative to provide variety in addition to offering a wide range to choose from: sardines, tuna, salmon, monkfish, gilthead … crustaceans such as crabs, lobsters, prawns … molluscs such as mussels, clams … and cephalopods as the cuttlefish and the squid.
Vegetables such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, aubergines … will bring us a variety of flavours and are the perfect complement for meats, fish and seafood.
The fruits will highlight its sugary flavour on the grill, pears, apples, bananas, peaches, pineapple … We can prepare them on delicious skewers for dessert or combine them with different meats or fish.
